Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. –Proverbs 22:6

On January 12, 2013 we visited again in GK site to meet the kids and to get to know them more. That was also the day Kuya Christian first joined us, so the kids were able to see a new face again.

It was a great chance for us to know them more but getting to know with the kids is a bit tricky because we’re supposed to know there personality and vice versa. Aside from that, their ability to memorize and be familiar with us is challenged. There are so many of them so we tried to remember them one by one as much as we can.

Jonalyn, Nicole, Sophie, Julianna, Angel, and Apple are the group of girls who always stick together, while the boys are scattered except from Marlwen, Ian, and Jhael who endlessly scuttle on each other whenever we have film watching, games, and other activities.

On February 2, 2013, our theme was Valentines Card-making. Our group provided the kids what they need to make cards such as papers and colouring materials. By twos, we guided kids in each tables. Some of them still don’t know how to write and it’s not a comedown but an opportunity to be the first to teach someone the fundamentals of education. We made two cards, one for their parents and one for Teacher Grace greeting her Happy Birthday. It was a surprise the kids couldn’t hold to keep! Hehe.

We also include film-viewing in our activities.

I wonder what I was before, and what people thought of me when I was young. How did they interact with me when have no knowledge in writing, reading, and counting? I guess it’s the same way of what I feel and thought of with the kids now. What a great patience people had on me in order to mold me into who I am now. Spending time with GK kids now is a great privilege because what we contribute to them may partake who they are in the future. Besides, the time we had with them is like a gift that can only be returned when they grew up and teach kids too. It’s also a joy that cannot be compared! :)

Don't reply no more if it's negative, thank you :)
